Dynamic and growing: Bangkok's commercial property sector

Knight Frank’s newly released Global Cities 2015 Report paints a very positive image of Bangkok’s commercial property sector.

In a chapter titled ‘Rise of the new districts’, the report highlights Bangkok and DTAC’s, Chamchuri Square base as one of the top ten offices in the world.

The report said: “Having acquired in excess of 300,000 sq ft over 20 floors in downtown Bangkok, the telecoms provider focused on its tagline of ‘feel good wherever you are’ for its fit out.“

The space was designed to stimulate ideas, communication, creativity and staff wellbeing. One of the prominent features is the ‘fun floor’ where work-related activities are strictly off-limits.”

Marcus Burtenshaw, Knight Frank Thailand’s Head of Commercial Arency, told DDproperty.com: “The report is global it its scope and Bangkok is certainly a dynamic and growing city.

“The chapter in the report called “The rise of the new districts” discusses the trends of business moving to the edge of central business district loctions, and that’s a trend we have seen in Bangkok in areas such as Ratchadapisek, Phaholyothin, Thonglor and even Bangna, which have all experiences an upsurge in popularity in recent times.”
