A new THB400 million residential development in Phuket’s Chalong area is being planned by Boat Pattana, The Phuket Gazette reported. The developer hopes to target middle-class families with its new project despite the fact this segment of the property market in Phuket has struggled during the past few years.
“We don’t think any other properties are really targeting this segment with a project concept like ours; they seem to have forgotten the importance of family space,” Panupong Kritchanarat, Boat Pattana’s chief executive officer, told the newspaper.
The project will be known as The Hideaway Valley Chalong and the company has begun to sell units at the development. There will be 60 detached housing units once the project is completed and Boat Pattana is claiming the location provides both a peaceful neighborhood and easy access to greater Phuket.
“Though the economy is quite slow right now, we believe that our customers will understand our sincerity in helping them create a home. We are confident that middle-class people working on the island will take advantage of this opportunity and choose us,” Panupong added.
The Phuket Gazette added that the units will feature a classic European design that embraces both retro and vintage elements. The Hideaway Valley Chalong will also have several other features including a public park, clubhouse, fitness center and swimming pool.
“We want to present our customers with a new idea, a development that brings them back to the happy days when people gathered together as a family and spent precious time together,” Niyom Boonmee, chief operating officer of Boat Pattana, said. “We want to create a place that draws on the idyllic memories of mum’s garden, dad’s garage and grandmother’s kitchen.”
The project is expected to take about 15 months to finish and should concluded sometime in 2017. Prices at the development start at THB4.99 million and go up to THB15 million, The Phuket Gazette added.
