Jakarta’s Oxygen Eco-Tower residential project (pictured) was the only Asian winner at the 2015 MIPIM Awards, which took place in Cannes, France, last week.

Developer by Bimantra Citra and designed by architectural firm Progetto CMR, the project took home the People’s Choice Award from the prestigious event.

The People’s Choice Award is given to the project that attracted the most votes from MIPIM delegates and online via the MIPIM website and its official Facebook page.

The concept behind the development comes from the geometric model of a flower that grows upward, according to the architect behind the project, with an organic shape.

The development has been described as a vertical constellation of villas, a 125.800 sqm residential tower developed on 75-floors with a total height of 277 meters, and has been designed to fulfil the dreams and meet the needs of people who will live that spaces.

Each of the 161 villas comes with a private garden and swimming pool.

“We are really proud and satisfied of the People’s Choice Award achievement”, said architect Massimo Roj, Managing Partner of Progetto CMR.

“I strongly believe that Italian companies, doing network and collaborating together, can have a better chance to achieve good results. Made in Italy is loved and appreciated all over the world, and it is a resource that we should continue to preserve and promote.

“Thanks to everybody who voted our project,” he concluded.
