BTS On Nut station has maintained its position as the most-searched mass-transit station by users of DDproperty.com, Thailand’s number one property website.
The websites one-of-a-kind ‘search-by-station’ feature allows property seekers to search for their next property to buy, sell or rent in Bangkok based on the distance from their preferred mass-transit station.
For the first five months of 2015, On Nut’s BTS station has emerged top as the most-searched station although there have been some dramatic changes elsewhere in the top ten rankings.
On Nut’s continued popularity is likely down to the ease and speed of commuting to other parts of the city, its relative value for money when compared with stations just a few stops closer to the centre of the city, along with a growing number of developments.
Data from property searches on DDproperty.com using the ‘search-by-station’ feature during May 2015 showed searches using MRT stations as a base have grown by more than 50 percent since the start of the year, although are still vastly outnumbered by searches using BTS stations. Searches using Airport Link stations this year to date accounted for between 1 percent and 3 percent of all searches while BTS searches have dominated most months this year, and accounted for 67.3 percent of all searches last month.
So far this year, the most-improving stations by searches are Ladprao MRT, Ari BTS station and Bang Wa BTS station, as the chart below shows.
During 2014 close to half a million users of DDproperty.com opted to use the ‘search by station’ feature to search for property to buy, rent and sell, with Rama 9’s MRT station heading the rankings for the 12 month period.
