Kata Group's resort in Phuket

Kata Group Resorts, a leader in Southern Thailand’s affordable luxury housing market, is preparing a large expansion phase following the new appointment of the financial consulting business Asset Pro Management Co., Ltd. The company will help prepare the Kata Group for a listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The listing is expected sometime in 2017, The Pattaya Mail reported.

The Kata Group anticipates going on a period of significant growth resulting from extra capital following its listing. Plans have already been discussed to develop a community mall and a hotel in Phuket as well as a hotel in the well-known tourist areas of Hua Hin and Pattaya. Over the last 35 years, the Kata Group has developed 4- and 5-star projects in Krabi, Khao Lak, Koh Samui and Phuket.

Pramookpisitt Achariyachai, the President and Owner of Kata Group told The Pattaya Mail that he felt encouraged by the uptick in Thailand’s tourist sector and the opening of more attractions. He felt that these actions were a driving force in the hospitality industry.

“We feel we still have a lot of room to grow,” he said. “We currently own and operate six hotels in absolute beachfront locations- with one a two-minute walk from the beach- featuring concepts in the four- and five- star categories, appealing to a wide range of target groups and markets from around the world.”

Kata Groups has become a leader in Thailand’s hospitality business thanks in part to its uniquely designed concepts. The group caters to couples and families and offers beachfront weddings, corporate meetings and incentives.

“Our strategy has always been to grow steadily and sustainability. This will not change. We have a strong project in The Landmark Patpong and are seeking opportunities in Pattaya and Hua Hin, for which we need capital to fund the growth,” Pramookpisitt noted. “This is why we have appointed financial experts in Asset Pro Management to achieve this goal.”
