Best Western Hotels & Resorts Asia revealed that it acquired its first property in Krabi. The move is the latest addition to its holdings in Thailand as the company looks to continue increasing its footprint in the country. Krabi, which is known as one of the Kingdom’s leading beach destinations was made famous by Leonardo di Caprio movie The Beach.
Best Western is in the process of rebranding the Hula Hula Resort & Spa which will now be known as Best Western Hula Hula Ao Nang Resort. The company says the rebrand will be effective starting some time in December.
The resort contains 76 rooms plus a number of standard amenities available for guests. There are views of the sea pool and garden from certain rooms while other accommodations have direct access to the resort’s lagoon-style swimming pool.
The newly christened Best Western will also have a Thai restaurant along with a bar, an outdoor pool, spa and massage services and a fitness club. MICE facilities that can accommodate up to 150 people will also be available.
“With its spectacular scenery and wealth of natural assets, Krabi has always been one of Asia’s premier tourist destinations,” notes Olivier Berrivin, Best Western’s Managing Director of International Operations for Asia. “Best Western had been seeking an opportunity in this desirable destination and we are delighted to have found such a high-quality resort in the heart of Ao Nang.”
Best Western continues to pursue a major expansion strategy in Thailand, announcing that it will open three hotels in the popular destinations of Pattaya and Hua Hin. The company also launched a new flagship property in Bangkok, Best Western Premier Montien Riverside Hotel, to go with its existing hotels and resorts in Bangkok, Phuket and Buri Ram. There are also plans for Best Western to introduce its Vīb brand in Bangkok sometime in the next few years.
