Kingdom Property’s special offer of a 20-year visa to those who purchase a unit at Southpoint Pattaya continues to draw interest six months after being launched, OPP.Today reported. The developer teamed up with Thailand Elite to make the scheme possible.
The ability to stay in Thailand for long periods of time without being retired, having a work permit or being married to a Thai is one of the main issues standing in the way of overseas buyers when thinking about purchasing property in Thailand.
There has been strong demand from applicants since the program was introduced back in June 2015. “Mainly demand is coming from Asian countries like China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, as well as European countries like the UK and France and USA,” Irina Breslavtseva, vice president of Marketing of Kingdom Property explained to OPP.Today. The website added that Chinese investors were the most prominent group to make enquiries into the program but there has been a recent upturn in the number of inquiries from Europe.
“It’s a unique offer on the market as we exclusively have a right to offer this program of Thailand Elite to our buyers. It’s a perfect combination as we have a very strong product ourselves and visa is a perfect bonus to our proposition,” Breslavtseva said. “These days customers are very cautious on what projects to invest in, as not everything gets build in Pattaya. Therefore, our building experience after the years of market research and negotiations has allowed us to partner with Thailand Elite, which is a Tourism Authority of Thailand program that gives our clients additional insurance in our building and its quality.”
Kingdom Property has already received more than 220 inquiries for the property-for-visa scheme and nearly 40 units have been sold under the program, OPP. Today added. The visa will come as part of the purchase of a unit at Southpoint. The owner is free to sell the unit and the visa together. Southpoint is the only project where the 20-year visa is available through property ownership.
