Oasis Outdoor Arena & Creative Market announced the concept for its new venue at a recent press conference. It will embrace the idea of being a ‘Flower Garden in the City’ and feature a massive green space covering 14 rai. The entire project will cost a total of THB1.1 billion to build.
The development will feature a five-season flower garden as well as space for the ‘Music in the Garden’ area, where aspiring artists and famous musicians will have the opportunity to jointly showcase their talents. The project is located near Show DC on Jaturatis-Rama IX and is scheduled to open on 13th April.
“Our aim is to make Oasis Outdoor Arena & Creative Market the city’s next must-visit shopping and hangout venue for both Thais and foreigners alike,” Chayaditt Hutanuwatra, chairman of Show DC, explained in a press release. “To make the city garden an outstanding attraction, we have mobilized a quality team of designers and landscape artists. Green flora from different zones will decorate the Creative Market that will include retail shops, restaurants and rest areas. Even the floor has been given a creative facelift to recreate the ambience and atmosphere of a fair, where visitors recharge their batteries, find inspirations and leave feeling the joy and happiness.”
The opening of the project happens to coincide with Songkran Day and the festival will feature heavily during the opening ceremonies. ‘Woody’ Vuthithorn Milintachinda will host the venue’s first event, the S2O Super Songkran Party, the company announced. The festival is expected bring thousands of visitors to Oasis as part of the venue’s launch.
“It has the right location in the heart of the city complete with all the utilities and facilities. It is the entertainment place for everyone and, furthermore, is conveniently accessible through the expressway,” Woody, chairman of Woody World, proclaimed. “Its vast area can accommodate up to 30,000 people and it is equipped with a system to efficiently facilitate big events.”
