The former Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas has an all new look as Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts took over the property and launched its Angsana Villas Resort Phuket earlier this month, local media has confirmed. The new property is designed to give guests something different than what is currently available at Bayan Tree’s nearby Angsana Laguna Phuket.
However, the two resorts will work in harmony as those staying at Angsana Villas Resort Phuket will be able to access the amenities at Angsana Laguna Phuket. The latter features a swimming pool, a beach club, a full-service spa and several food outlets. The Phuket Gazette added that Banyan will operate a free shuttle service between the two resorts.
“In addition to Angsana Laguna Phuket, we are delighted to add Angsana Villas Resort Phuket to the Angsana family and expand our presence in Asia’s first integrated resort, Laguna Phuket. Both resorts are committed to excellent service and delivering beautiful memories for every guest,” Brian Connelly, general manager of both Angsana Laguna Phuket and Angsana Villas Resort Phuket explained in a press release.
The new resort boasts a total of 48 villas and suites. One, two and three-bedroom suites along with three and four-bedroom villas are available. All accommodations feature a living room while larger rooms and villas will be equipped with kitchenettes and balconies. Some villas will have private pools.
There will be a number of facilities at Angsana Villas Resort Phuket. These include a fitness center, a kids’ club, a swimming pool and meeting room facilities. The resort will also have two on-site eateries offering different types of cuisine. One will offer al fresco dining while the other restaurant will specialize in Thai and western favorites.
“This move enables us to provide more guests with an unforgettable Angsana experience and it shows our dedication to expanding the brand while maintaining high standards of luxury and service,” Connelly concluded.
