CPN Launches Massive Pattaya Mall Renovation

27 ม.ค. 2560

Central Center Pattaya has morphed into CentralMarina after retail developer CPN invested THB 1 billion to launch the renovated shopping destination. The new mall is a historic one for CPN as it is the company’s fully themed mall in Pattaya. The complex now has a shopping centre, supermarket, cinema, a premium seafood market, fashion outlet, outdoor market and what it is calling the ‘Public House’.

There is also a unique lighthouse that anchors the complex along with a fisherman village design. CPN renovated the mall under the concept of ‘Marina of Fun–Enjoy the Fun Every Day’. The goal was to emphasise Pattaya as a tourist city and create a fun vibe.

“Pattaya is one of the top 19 world tourist cities this year and is in the top three Thai tourist cities after Bangkok and Phuket. Pattaya is a tourist city, a beach holiday vacation destination and is ideal for a wide range of leisure and recreation activities,” says Wallaya Chirathivat, Chief Development Officer. “Pattaya welcomes over 8 million tourists from around the world each year. The city has real estate projects launched by central and local developers. The continued demand and supply have helped tourism-related businesses such as hotels, condominiums, retail outlets and restaurants achieve high growth.”

The Pattaya Mail notes that the mall is located in the Pattaya city centre on Pattaya Sai 2 Road. The renovation helped give the facility more colour and vibrancy and it now has 70 stores. There is also the largest ‘Nike Factory’ in Pattaya at the mall plus a modern-style outdoor market, Starbucks, Family Mart, a 24-hour McDonald’s, Big C Extra Supermarket, Thai’s Favourite by Central Food Hall and the new SF Cinema.

There is also space for parking and the shopping complex can now accommodate over 800 cars and over 500 motorcycles. There is a shuttle bus from North Pattaya and South Pattaya that takes guests to and from the malls and a Tourist Service Center, which offers professional tour services.
