Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is preparing to launch its 1st resort in Southeast Asia next month in Phuket, according to local media reports. Rosewood Phuket is set to be unveiled on November 2nd. The resort is located at Emerald Bay near Tri Trang Beach in Patong.
“The resort’s design will take guests on an unexpected journey through a diverse landscape of hilltop forest, lakes, wetland and sun-washed beach. An abundance of floor-to-ceiling windows and open-sided spaces will merge interiors with the natural environment,” explains the company in a press release.
There will be 71 pool pavilions and villas at Rosewood Phuket. There will be several room types available at the resort with each one offering views of the nearby sea. There will also be a lot of common area facilities at the property including a beachside infinity pool, a fitness centre, and children’s facilities.
“Each sea-facing residential-style room, starting at 130 sq. meters for the Ocean View Pool Pavilion right up to the stand-alone 796 sq. metre 2-bedroom Ocean House, will feature a private infinity pool and interiors that blend polished details and rustic notes linking east and west, contemporary and traditional,” says the company.
Several eateries will also be at the resort. These include Ta Khai, which will serve authentic Thai food, and Red Sauce Italian restaurant. The company will debut Asaya, an innovative, integrated wellness concept at the resort. The programme consists of alternative therapies, lifestyle coaching, fitness activities, and specialised healing practices.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts currently manages 20 luxury properties in 11 countries, but the Phuket resort marks its expansion into Southeast Asia. The company also has 16 new hotels under development. These include The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel in New York; Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, and Hôtel de Crillon; A Rosewood Hotel in Paris. Rosewood Beijing is also in development as the brand also plans on growing in China.
