With a launch for its The Esse condo project coming up, Singha Estate Plc is already looking at making its next project even bigger. The company released plans that will see it develop a huge township project with offices, retail space, and low-rise residential projects worth over THB 13 billion, reports local media. The project will be located in the Krungthep Kritha area of Bangkok.
The township development will be located on a 240-rai plot of land that has several access points. The company expects the township to eventually have a hospital, an educational institution, a sports complex, or hotel plus office, retail, and residential projects.
“The township project we plan to develop will have middle-to-higher-end residential, office and retail space as there are two international schools and two golf courses nearby. They will complement each other,” says Singha Estate Chief executive Naris Cheyklin to the Bangkok Post.
Singha Estate’s subsidiary, Nirvana Development Co, acquired the land plot from Bangkok Land for THB 3 billion last year. It will be the 9th large-scale mixed-use development in Thailand.
“The mixed-use development is a global real estate trend that many developers around the world are shifting to. In some countries, mixed-use projects are combined with the development plan for a new city,” says Naris.
In addition to this, Singha Estate will launch its The Esse at Singha Complex condominium in March. The 39-storey building will have a total of 319 units with prices starting at THB 8.6 million per unit. The company sold 45 per cent of the units at the project during a soft launch last month.
The condo project is situated on an 11-rai land plot at the Asok-Phetchaburi intersection near the Phetchaburi MRT station. It will eventually be home to the Singha Complex, a mixed-use project that will have a 42-storey office building along with a 4-storey retail space. The complex is set to be completed in 2018.
