Singha Estate is developing a massive project in the Maldives and the company has announced a deal with Cafe Del Mar that will allow the popular beach club operator to open a flagship venue for its efforts along the Indian Ocean, media outlets reports.
Singha has looked for partnerships on the facilities available for tourists at its international developments and already has a deal in place with the famous Hard Rock Hotel Group. The company’s Maldives megaproject has made significant progress and the agreement with Cafe Del Mar brings it another step closer to completion.
Cafe del Mar began in Spain in 1980 and has since expanded worldwide with branches open in Australia and Hawaii among other places. The new Maldives outlet will be the biggest one on the Indian Ocean with over 5,000 sq. metres of space, according to TTG Asia.
“The club is popular among its fans thanks to its high level of creativity. They have created their own music, which is tailor-made for each event or activity. Much of the music has been made by celebrity DJs like Roger Sanchez, Dimitri, Boy George and Paul Oakenfold,” says Thitti Thongbenchamas, Chief Investment Officer at Singha Estate, in a press release
Singha Estate plans to bring in a world-class designer to design the pool by the beach and the club is expected to be able to accommodate a large number of guests. The project’s 1st phase could open as soon as next year.
The beach club will connect to the nearby yacht marina and these will be two of several features found at the megaproject. Singha Estate also has plans to build a hotel, a number of restaurants, and a duty-free shop.
The deal with Cafe del Mar follows Singha Estate’s plan of partnering with well-known companies to increase the profile of its projects. The company has been willing to partner with various brands for the accommodations, shopping, and entertainment options at its developments.
