Pantip Plaza Chiangmai Gets A New Look

TCC Land Asset World Retail will invest THB100 million to renovate the Pantip Plaza Chiangmai shopping centre. The retail complex, which is located in the Night Bazaar area of the city, will focus on the hi-tech lifestyle and target younger generations and students. The company hopes the mall makes Chiangmai the technology hub of the northern Thailand.

“The development this time will help Pantip Plaza Chiangmai become the most important and technologically advanced hub of northern Thailand, ready to meet all needs of hi-tech lifestyle both in terms of hardware and software, to provide necessary services, and to be the learning centre for both academic and IT activities for people of all ages. Pantip Plaza Chiangmai will also become a hub for gamers and E-Sport players for students of age groups by organizing activities throughout the year to promote,” says Veerarit Somboonsub, Asset Manager of Pantip Plaza, TCC Land Asset World Retail Co., Ltd., in a press release.

The move to revamp the Chiangmai space comes after it completed a similar redevelopment of its Pantip Plaza Pratunam in Bangkok last year. That retail centre has allowed the company to better serve customer demands in all aspects and increased foot traffic. This is why TCC Land Asset World Retail decided to take a similar approach with Pantip Plaza Chiangmai.

The renovation will be very similar to the Bangkok mall including the inclusion of a Pantip E-Sport Arena. The 1st arena was built into Pantip Plaza Pratunam and the company has announced that the 2nd will be built in Chiangmai. A number of activities will be offered at the mall such as the PC Gaming Expo, PC Com Set Expo, Toys & Games, and Notebook For Life. TCC Land Asset World Retail believes this will help it reach its business growth targets in the next few years. The new look mall will launch in September.
