Bangkok is set to get a new branded residence following yesterday’s agreement between Iconsiam and the Mandarin Oriential Group to manage the super-luxury freehold ‘The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok’.
The agreement will see the first Mandarin Oriental branded residences in Southeast Asia, and will be located across the Chao Phraya river from the existing hotel.
The 146-residences which are due to be completed in 2018 will be designed to reflect the best of contemporary lifestyles and be of a standard to match or exceed the very best residences in New York, London, Tokyo, or Shanghai, according to a press statement issued yesterday.
They will be targeted towards very high net worth people who expect the same superb standards, no matter what city they are in, and who appreciate the heritage of this great brand and its promise of refinement, it continued.
The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok will be built at a cost of THB7 billion and will be located on the 50-rai Iconsiam site that also includes another residential building of 70 floors, called the Magnolia Waterfront Residences, two of the world’s most glamorous retail complexes, as well as seven attractions that will be the first of their kind in Thailand, including a spectacular waterfront promenade.
