The first Mandarin Oriental branded residence in Southeast Asia is now open for bookings, ICONSIAM Superlux Residence Corporation announced yesterday at press event. The waterfront residences are situated along Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River across from the Mandarin Oriental hotel in a private tower at ICONSIAM, a new riverside development.
“The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok are designed and being built to the highest standards of luxury that, together with their enchanting location, make these residences among the best in the world. They will lift the prestige of a Bangkok residential address to a new level,” Thippaporn Chearavanont Ahriyavraromp, director of The ICONSIAM Superlux Residence Corporation, proclaimed. “No expense is being spared. We are spending over 30 percent more per sellable square meter than the best of any residential offering in the city.”
The residential building will be 52-stories and is located at the ICONSIAM site that also features the Magnolias Waterfront Residences, two upscale retail complexes and a waterfront promenade. The Mandarin Oriental Bangkok has agreed to provide management services for the development as well as bespoke amenities for individual residents.
“In addition to the prestige of the Mandarin Oriental brand, they offer a feeling of being close to nature and a sense of Thai charm, which are combined with world-class design and construction, as well as attention to the smallest details,” Thippaporn noted. “It’s this exceptional combination, in a single project, that makes these residences so unique.”
The project will feature numerous facilities including the Sky Pavilion, a business center, a library, an outdoor infinity-edge lap pool and a Jacuzzi. There is also a modern fitness center plus a golf simulator, games and media rooms. All residences will be fully fitted and owners have the option for interior decoration and furnishing by interior designer Joyce Wang. She has designed many notable projects including Mandarin Oriental Landmark Hotel in Hong Kong and the Mandarin Oriental London.
The residences are priced from THB350,000 per square metre, ranging in size from approximately 130 to 230 square metres. The penthouses and duplex penthouses are from 380 to 710 square metres, and are priced from THB550,000 per square metre.
