HILTON HUA HIN RESORT & SPA

Hilton Hotel Resort & Spa in Hua Hin is preparing for a THB500 million renovation that will transform the rooms at the property as it looks to stay competitive with other hotels in the region, local media reported. A number of technological improvements will also be completed during the revamp.

General manager Denis Richter explained that accommodations will be redecorated while several tech upgrades will let travelers check-in, select a room and check-out using Hilton’s mobile app or website. Guests may also be able to use their smartphones as room keys.

“The big hotel renovation scheme is to serve changing tourist demand as the Hua Hin hotel industry gets both more competitive and exciting, with new hotels and condominiums popping up,” said Richter.

The Hilton brand continues to utilise technology to improve the guest experience with digital check-in and other technology upgrades soon to be available at most of its hotels across the world in 2017.

Occupancy rates at Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa were solid last year according to the newspaper. The Thai Hotel Association noted that the average hotel occupancy rate in Hua Hin was 60-70 percent during the first quarter of this year.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand continues to focus on encouraging Thais to visit the beachside town while the Pacific Asia Travel Association has promoted the region to the MICE crowd.
