Gaysorn To Create All New Shopping Complex

25 ม.ค. 2560

Gaysorn Property has decided to establish its own shopping area to help it compete with other malls in Bangkok such as Siam Paragon and EmQuartier, local media claims. Gaysorn Village is situated near the Ratchaprasong and will incorporate Gaysorn shopping centre as well as some of the other developments being built by the company.

Gaysorn Tower, an office building with retail space, is due to open in September and will be part of the complex, according to the Bangkok Post. Amarin Plaza and Amarin Tower, located near the Ratchaprasong intersection, are also going to be part of Gaysorn Village.

The company is hoping to enhance the shopping atmosphere in the Ratchaprasong area. Retailers have begun cooperating in order to develop the area’s commercial potential similar to what has happened in America and England. The move comes as a number of Bangkok’s other malls are planning to make renovations in a competitive market.

Fafuen Temboonkiat, the company’s managing director, tells the Bangkok Post that Gaysorn Village comprises a total of 180,500 sq. metres of retail and office space. The north zone of Gaysorn Village will have Gaysorn shopping centre and Gaysorn Tower. The south zone will feature Amarin Plaza and Amarin Tower. Gaysorn Walk will connect both zones and the skywalk will also connect the area to other shopping malls in the Pratunam area.

Gaysorn Village will also connect to Ratchaprasong Walk. The soon to be completed skywalk will bridge 18 buildings in the Ratchaprasong district when finished in March.

There are also plans for the company to renovate Amarin Plaza and Amarin Tower as part of a revamping of the shopping area. After renovations are completed in 2020, the company believes Gaysorn shopping centre will be viewed as an urban lifestyle centre and not the luxury shopping complex it is currently seen as.

“With total investment of THB 3.74 billion, we hope Gaysorn Village will prove itself to be a new hub of inspiration for shoppers and nearby communities,” says Charn Srivikorn, chairman of Gaysorn Property Co.
