Both Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data will influence how property developers in Thailand create new projects. They will need to leverage these to provide benefits for home buyers in terms of design and quality of living, according to media reports.
“When AI and digital technology entered the property industry, that changed the way we develop residential properties – not only because of the data we could gather about what our customers want, but it also changed the way we design the projects. These technologies have also enabled us to improve our after-sales service to customers, helping us to better take care of their needs, and reflecting their lifestyles at our residential projects,” says Sansiri Plc President Srettha Thavisin to The Nation.
Sansiri is one of a growing number of Thai developers to invest heavily in research as they look to utilise information technology to improve product design and meet its customers’ demands. The company has used both Big Data and information technology to make or sometimes change decisions about project location and design.
“We cannot say how much we have invested in research and information technology because the technology changes all the time. But we can say we have continued to invest to improve our service to better serve customer demand. Technology and the database we have built up have changed our business from residential project development and delivery to now including being residential service providers – covering construction, project delivery and now services that improve our customers’ quality of living under the concept ‘well-being done,” says Srettha.
Thailand continues to move towards being a digital economy and this means developers had to tailor designs and services offerings to match changing customer demand. For example, a condo may now incorporate new facilities such as a smart locker, a voice box, and a robot service that all use the latest tech innovations.
Despite predictions from the experts, property market still needs to be watched closely about its trend and momentum.
