[Special Advertising Feature] The beautiful simplicity of luxurious Balinese-style residences is brought to fruition with Anchan Hills by Pearl Island Property on Thailand’s vacation hotspot of Phuket.
Located just 15 minutes from the airport and a few minutes from Layan Beach, on a 16-rai plot, the villas exude an open, breezy, contemporary charm. Meanwhile, traditional design touches and a sense of privacy elevate the ambiance to that of a retreat experience.
The developer, based locally, has been operating in the region since 2007, adding a clear and cohesive design language to an area that is renowned for its sophisticated real estate ambition; as the country’s premiere tourist destination.
The result of the striking creative direction of the estate was a win at the 14th annual PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards in August 2019 for Best Housing Development (Phuket), along with a highly commended in the Best Housing Architectural Design (Resort) category.
The seamless design and execution is in the hands of the creative talents of in-house teams, under the name of Anchan Villas Construction, directing the architecture, interiors, and landscaping.
For this year’s judges, the precision of the project’s goal to create a sense of balance was a winning ingredient that was identifiable in every detail.
“Developed for the holiday-home market, Anchan Hills by Pearl Island Property is a west-coast, pool-villa vision displaying open-plan living and high-privacy bedrooms to create perfect harmony between shared experiences and alone time; a laid-back environment that connects with the serenity of nearby Bang Tao Beach wonderfully.”
The site presents 49 villas in total, with four different types, ranging from two to four bedrooms, ranging between 175 to 314.2 square metres. The open-plan living and dining areas look out over the 10-metre-long private pool in the centre of each villa, along with a terrace, decking, and some greenery. At the same time, the bedrooms look out to pool view through full-length windows.
The interiors exude a modern-tropical vibe, with dark wood finishes and white décor, while natural light brightens up these spaces. Cedarwood tiles not only look elegant, but add to the homely character of the villas, while teak wood is used for the doors, beams, furniture, and floors.
The contemporary kitchen shows-off a hip, minimalist edge with glossy surfaces and a large island. To fit with the design brief, the bedrooms are smart with a sophisticated feel that is ultimately focused on a level of comfort and function that presents a relaxing space above all else.
The double-vanity bathroom and freestanding tub within each villa is crafted with marble, as well as a natural stone feature wall. This mirrors the chic design character of a high-end spa, enhancing an atmosphere that injects a resort feel into a residential space.
This purposeful style principle extends outside, as the spacious interiors lead out to a private chill-out zone where the pool is the focal point, aligned with sundecks and salas in some villas, plus garden walkways.
An eye-catching feature of the architectural design are the vaulted ceilings with wooden beams and roofs constructed to echo classic Balinese design. Beyond the villas, depth is added to the green landscape with a scenic mountain backdrop.
The overall design at Anchan Hills maximises communal spaces, yet retains privacy, to facilitate quality time and an indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Meanwhile, hotel-style facilities include a reception area, a shuttle bus, a gym, and a restaurant.
