I bought a condo a few years ago using my Canadian passport number in all the legal documents (e.g. buy and sell contract) involved in the purchase. Since then, I immigrated to another country, gave up Canadian citizenship, and is now using the passport of my new country. There is no change to my name though. The question is, do I need to inform the Land Department about the change of my citizenship and passport now, despite I am not planning to sell my condo at this moment? Is my old Canadian passport be sufficient to prove that I am the same person ?
