The deadline for nominations for the 10th annual Thailand Property Awards 2015 has been extended until the end of this month due to what the organisers have described as an “overwhelming response” to this year’s event.

Widely regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of Thailand’s property and real estate industry, hundreds of entries have already been made for the 24 categories in this year’s awards.

The deadline for nominations is now May 30 as Terry Blackburn, Chief Executive Officer of organisers Ensign Media explained.

He told DDproperty.com: “Due to an overwhelming number of nominations we have extended the entry deadline to the end of May.

“I think Best Luxury Condo Bangkok is in for another good year and it will be interesting to see which resort destination comes out on top considering the slowdown in some markets.

“With site visits due to start next month, confident developers should start getting measured for a new tuxedo as the gala dinner will be upon us before we know it.”

The Thailand Property Awards continue to set the benchmark of quality and credibility by which the region’s best real estate is measured, and have gained a reputation for being free, fair and transparent.

They will showcase the finest developments in the Kingdom from Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Hua Hin, Khao Yai, Phang Nga, Krabi and Samui.

Blackburn added: “The awards are free to enter and decided by a truly independent panel, which ensures only the best of the best are recognised and rewarded.”

The winners will be revealed at a Black Tie Gala Dinner at Bangkok’s Plaza Athenee hotel on Wednesday, September 16, tickets for which are on sale now and limited in number.
