The One to watch in Bangkok

Saladaeng One Bangkok Thailand

Many developers claim to have the best project in the best location in town. In truth, only a buyer or investor can know if those claims are true.

One, and I use that word on purpose, developer with a very strong claim to both accolades is SC Asset with its Saladaeng One project.

With the concept “One, because nothing counts before it comes” is certainly a bold statement to live up to, but judging from the relaxing monochrome tones on display in the showroom, it’s one that’s perfectly apt for this Bangkok project. “Every inch matters” is another mantra that this project really lives up to.

What is different about this development is that, in fact, there is nothing very different from any top-of-the-range condominium project anywhere in the world. Too often, a developer will go out of its way to add what some buyers will deem to be unnecessary touches that remind you this is Thailand. One look out of the full-height windows over Lumpini Park and you could easily be looking at London’s Hyde Park or New York’s Central Park. That is one reason why this development will appeal to international buyers and investors.

One more reason is the developer has purposely reserved high-floor units for international sales, having sold 104 of the 129 units released to date in what will be a 33-storey, 185-unit development that will also feature two pool villas. The developer plans to exhibit the project in Hong Kong and Singapore later this year, and judging from its previous experiences overseas it shouldn’t have too much difficulty selling this development.

Units will come fully fitted with quality appliances. Marble used within the units will be imported from Greece and Turkey to add a touch of class something as simple as the floor.

One final aspect that sets Saladaeng One apart, besides its location seconds from Rama 4 and Bangkok green lung, Lumpini Park, is the architecture – which is very striking in that its horizontal rise design differs markedly from the standard vertical offerings from most Bangkok condominium developments.

Phrases used by the developer, such as “beyond panoramic” and “a sculpture in the city’, are really not lost on Saladaeng One. Based on the EIA-approved plans and the showroom they are certainly not a figment of a copywriter’s imagination.

Saladaeng One from Thai listed developer SC Asset, which is the company’s most expensive project to date, is due for completion in early 2018.
