The finalists for this year’s South East Asia Property Awards (Singapore) 2016 were revealed and Qingjian Realty, M+S Pte Ltd, Novel Developments and City Development Limited (CDL) are among the developers who will have liked what they saw.

Back for its sixth edition, SEAPA (Singapore) honors the developers behind the best real estate developments in the city-state. A total of 20 trophies will be handed out with the judging having been conducted by a panel of experts led by respected architect and designer Mink Tan of MINKEE Architects who takes his appointment quite seriously.

“The experience has been enriching and rewarding, as I have gained and learned much from my fellow judges who all hail from diverse backgrounds like development, finance, investment, amongst others,” Tan explained. “As a judge, I would think that the impact of the Awards must surely be a positive one, otherwise you wouldn’t see all these developers sending multiple nominations and Winners brandishing the Awards on their advertisement banners year after year.”

The mixed-use development Marina One by M+S Pte Ltd, a joint venture between Malaysia and Singapore companies, has been nominated for various awards including Best Luxury Condo Development, Best Office Development and Best Mixed-Use Development. The luxury residential and office development is situated in the Marina South area, a neighborhood some are proclaiming to be the new CBD.

Best Executive Condo Development is a category where there will be some friendly rivalry at play with three Qingjian Realty subsidiaries competing for the award. MCL Land’s acclaimed Sol Acres project was also nominated in that category.

Two of the top shortlisted companies, City Development Limited (CDL) and M+S Pte Ltd, have also been put forth for the new Special Recognition in Sustainable Development award, which is given to firms who achieve excellence and adhere to the best sustainable practices.
