Renowned Swiss hotel management company Movenpick Hotels & Resorts has officially signed an agreement with developer Nusasiri to manage three properties in Thailand, the pair announced in a press release. One of the projects managed by Movenpick will be residential while the other two are resorts.

The three properties will be Movenpick Residences Ekkamai and Movenpick Resort Khao Yai, both of which are scheduled to open before the end of the year. The third project, Movenpick Resort Mai Khao Phuket, is slated to begin operations next year.

“We are thrilled today to sign an agreement with such a distinguished developer and to increase our properties under Movenpick management in Thailand,” said Andrew Langdon, Movenpick Hotels & Resorts Senior Vice President Asia. “This is our second property in Bangkok and our third resort in Phuket, while in Khao Yai we are delighted to be opening up the first truly internationally managed resort in this well known domestic destination. We are very much looking forward to bringing our upscale brand and Swiss-inspired hospitality standards to all these destinations.”

The announcement means Movenpick Hotels & Resorts now has seven hotels and residences under its watch in Thailand. The firm has been busy recently opening the Movenpick Siam Hotel Pattaya. It also currently operates two properties in Bangkok and has eight resorts in Asia.

The press release noted that the Movenpick Residences Ekkamai will boast 160 residences, one, two and three bedroom units, as well an all-day dining restaurant, lobby lounge and rooftop lounge and bar.

Movenpick Resort Mai Khao Phuket is slated to have 220 rooms as well as a beach club. The property will also offer meeting facilities, a kids club, three swimming pools and a fitness center. The Movenpick Resort Khao Yai will feature a European inspired clubhouse plus a swimming pool, a fitness center and a spa along with 114 rooms.
