Crystal Veranda, a new community mall featuring a range of shops and dining outlets, opened its doors last week, Retail News Asia reported. The project is situated along the Ramintra expressway and can be found behind The Crystal shopping complex.
The new Crystal Veranda is targeting suburban customers with high purchasing power and a preference for buying high-end goods, the website stated. The project features a SF Cinema, a Fitness First and a children’s playground along with the flagship Lego store. This sees it differ from The Crystal which contains mostly restaurants and only a limited number of retail outlets.
Crystal Veranda takes up more than 25,000 sqm. of space and cost a total THB6 billion to build. The project was designed under the concept of “Five Facets of Crystal”: fun, food, fitness, fashion, and the “Full of Fascination”. Among the highlights of the retail development are a luxurious lobby lounge and Italian marble bathrooms.
A number of popular restaurant brands can also be found at Crystal Veranda including Dean & Deluca, Peppina, Coffee Bean by Dao, Water Library, Wine Connection and Starbucks. Shopping will also take up a large amount of space at the project with upscale fashion brands taking center stage. Retail News Asia noted that the mall will feature the Crystal Boutique Store which claims to be the first store in Thailand to incorporate clothing and accessories from both Thai and international designers in one place. Some of the international labels to be featured at the shop include Michael Kors, ARAMIS, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger and Tory Burch.
The area along Ramintra has become a hotbed for retail development over the last few years with Central Eastville being the latest mall to open there back in November. Crystal Design Center and The Walk Kaset-Navamin are two other nearby shopping complexes that will also be in competition with Crystal Veranda.
