Developers increase efforts to attract local buyers

With the government incentive measures for the property market set to expire at the end of April, The Nation reported that developers are ramping up their efforts to attract buyers by offering promotional campaigns that feature a number of discounts and other incentives.

Ananda Development announced its “Ananda Big Deals” scheme which will run from now until the end of April. The promotion includes free monthly instalments for the first year, free transfer fees and a free iPhone 6S for those who purchase a unit in one of six condominium projects: Ideo Sathorn-Thapra, Wutthakard, Sukhumvit 115, Ideo O2 Bangna, Unio Charan Soi 3 and Elio Del Ray Udomsuk.

Ananda chief executive officer Chanond Ruangkritya told the newspaper that now is a good time to buy a home, as purchasers benefit from the company’s promotional campaign as well as being able to take advantage of the government’s measures to cut mortgage and transfer fees to only 0.1 percent.

Lalin Property is also holding a promotional campaign between now and March 2nd where buyers will receive discounts of up to THB200,000 per unit at its residential projects at Fashion Island, CentralPlaza Ladprao, The Mall Bangkapi and CentralPlaza WestGate.

Meanwhile, Sansiri has started its “Uniquely You” campaign which will end on March 31st Buyers will be able to select the specific unit they wish to purchase for projects in the Chiang Mai, Phuket and Rayong provinces.

“Once the customers become interested in this campaign and are ready to purchase the ready-to-move-in homes and take advantage of the government support measures, Sansiri is ready with special offers until March 31st,” Metha Angwatanapanich, said the company’s senior executive vice president for business development and project development (low rise) “In Chiang Mai the roadshow will take place from March 1st-7th, in Phuket you can enjoy the activities at Central Festival Phuket from February 25th to March 2nd and Rayong will host the activities at Central Festival Rayong from February 25th to March 2nd. These activities are part of the campaign to create awareness of this concept more widely.”
