The Sheraton Pattaya Resort will be rebranded to InterContinental Pattaya Resort after InterContinental Hotels Group signed a management agreement with Amburaya Resort Company Limited. The luxury resort is situated on Phratamnak Hill which is south of Pattaya Bay, The resort will begin operations at the end of April.
“As one of Thailand’s top beach destinations, Pattaya attracts both international visitors and locals from other Thai cities looking for an idyllic weekend getaway. Phratamnak Hill is a prime location and one of the most exclusive areas along the coastline, which is perfect for the first InterContinental resort to cater to guests who want a luxurious experience,” Clarence Tan, senior vice president, Development, AMEA, IHG, explained in a press release. “We’ve had a great partnership with Amburaya Resort Company who we launched our Holiday Inn Express brand in Bangkok with, and we are delighted to work with them again to provide guests with exceptional experiences in Pattaya.”
The property is situated along the beach and boasts a total of 156 accommodations with a mixture of rooms, suites and villas. There will be three lagoon swimming pool at the hotel along with a fitness center and a full service spa. Two restaurants will also be featured at the rebranded resort when it opens.

InterContinental Pattaya Resort will be the second resort managed by IHG in the city. IHG already manages Holiday Inn Pattaya. There are three InterContinental Hotels and Resorts in Thailand. These are InterContinental Bangkok, InterContinental Hua Hin Resort and InterContinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort.
