Another new hotel is now operating in Phuket after the Wyndham Hotel Group opened its first Days Inn hotel in Thailand, Travel Daily Media reported. Kosmopolitan Hospitality has been selected to manage the new property.
The new hotel is located near Patong Beach and is a five-minute walk from the water. The property boasts a total of 122 rooms and will help introduce the brand to Thailand. A number of facilities can be found on-site include two restaurants, a rooftop pool, an internet center and free Wi-Fi.
“Days Inn is an esteemed brand with a wonderful concept that will appeal to budget conscious travellers with its great value,” Glenn de Souza, CEO of Kosmopolitan Hospitality stated. “We are confident of delivering the highest level of service excellence to our customers.”
Before becoming Days Inn Patong Beach Phuket, the hotel was formerly known as the Aloha Villa Phuket. According to Travel Daily Media, the hotel received an extensive makeover prior to being rebranded to bring it up to Wyndham standards.
This will be the first project Kosmopolitan Hospitality operates under a franchise agreement with Wyndham but the two companies plan to continue collaborating on projects across Southeast Asia in future. The next project is likely to be the Wyndham Legend Halong in Vietnam, Travel Daily Media added.
“The Kosmopolitan group is a key partner in our joint efforts to expand our portfolio of hotels in emerging markets throughout Southeast Asia,” Barry Robinson, Wyndham’s president & managing director for Southeast Asia & Pacific Rim said. “Their team’s expertise in managing and developing successful hotels and resorts is proven and well-respected in Southeast Asia. We share similar goals and our interests are aligned,”
The newest opening is part of Wyndham’s plan to continue focusing on emerging markets such as Thailand. At the moment there are nearly 1,800 Days Inn hotels operating around the world with a majority being located in the United States. Other properties can be found in China, India, Indonesia, Singapore and South Korea.
