Nusasiri announced a number of plans recently including a new partnership with Movenpick Hotels & Resorts. The Bangkok Post reported that the famous hotel brand will manage three of the developer’s projects including Condo Up Ekamai. The 170-unit project is set to be branded as Movenpick Residence Ekamai in June.
The developer’s Nusa My Ozone Khao Yai will also be rebranded as part of the agreement. The Movenpick Wellness Khao Yai will open its doors in June with 62 hotel rooms and nearly 50 houses that have been bought and can be rented out to visitors. Condo Nusa Si Racha is also slated to get the Movenpick touch. The development boast two towers and around 600 rooms. It is scheduled to be finished and open for business by 2018, according to the Bangkok Post.
Other new plans for Nusasiri include the launching of three new phases of existing residential projects. These will be worth a combined THB5 billion and the developer hopes to earn in pre-sales THB4 billion before year’s end. Nusa My Ozone Khao Yai in Khao Yai, the Nusa Si Racha condo project in Si Racha and the Nusasiri City Rama II Lake Como located on Rama II Road are where the new phases will be built.
“All of the new phases we plan to launch this year will be upper-end projects,” chief executive Visanu Thepcharoen told the newspaper. “We will scale down projects in the lower- to mid-price segment because of stricter mortgage rules by banks last year.”
Those rules saw Nusasiri fail to reach its revenue target of THB2 billion and revenue in 2015 ended up falling from 2014 totals. The developer has yet to finalize its investment budgets for new plots of land this year and will instead focus on the building of the new phases at existing projects.
