The official shortlist of nominees for the Vietnam Property Awards 2016 was announced recently as the most exclusive and respected industry awards event returns after a successful first year. Awards will be handed out for a total of 22 categories this year and 21 developers have made the final cut.
The nominations leaders for 2016 are Acteam International Co Ltd and Phu Quoc Development & Investment Joint Stock Company. Both developers racked up five nominations each. CapitaLand (Vietnam) and commercial developer Tanzanite International also garnered multiple nominations and are in the running for three and four awards respectively.
According to Thien Duong, chairman of the judges and managing director at Transform Architecture, the Vietnam Property Awards 2016 offers a much-needed boost for developers in this exciting cycle of the local property sector.
“The shortlisted companies can be proud that they have made benchmark contributions to the built environment while providing high value for money to their customers and investors,” the designer pointed out. “This is an opportunity for businesses in Vietnam to strive not just for profit but to create brands that have long-term credibility in the market. Well-designed and developed projects help to elevate the level of standard for properties in Vietnam.”
Projects from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Phu Quoc and Nha Trang were all nominated highlighting the depth and diversity found in Vietnam’s expanding property market. Best Green Development is shaping up to be one of the most hotly contested categories with Acteam International’s eco-tourism project The Dalat at 1200 facing the mixed-use Novotel Phu Quoc Resort by Phu Quoc Development & Investment, The Ascent – Thao Dien Condominiums and office property Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh Stadt.
The Winners and Highly Commended will be revealed at the black-tie gala dinner and ceremony being hosted at the InterContinental Asiana Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City on 10th June.
