TCC Group is planning to start construction on a new mixed-use project on Rama IV Road before the end of the year, according to local media reports. The project will be built on land owned by the Crown Property Bureau (CPB) near the Klong Toey intersection.
“We are clearing up the plot in order to start construction of the 1st phase by the end of the year, which will be completed by 2019. The 2nd phase will add offices, retail space, hotels, and serviced apartments,” says Su Lin Soon, Chief Executive of Development at TCC Asset Thailand Co, to the Bangkok Post.
The development will come in 2 phases with 1st phase containing 60,000 sq. metres of office space and 11,000 sq. metres of retail space. TCC Group has leased the 35-rai plot of land from the CPB and says this project will be much different from the One Bangkok mixed-use development it is building nearby.
That project will have a THB120 billion investment which is the largest-ever property investment in Thailand as well as the largest construction area for a single project. One Bangkok will boast 5 grade A office towers, 5 luxury hotels, and 3 30-storey luxury residential towers with retail space.
One Bangkok will be situated on the corner of Wireless and Rama IV roads which is close to Lumpini MRT station and also by Lumpini Park. That plot is also owned by the CPB and was the site of the Suan Lum Night Bazaar and the Pre-Cadet School before being handed over to TCC Group for development.
“One Bangkok will become a centre of everything for communities on Rama IV Road. We have designed it to have an open space and green area of 50 rai, almost half of the project’s plot to create livability,” says Soon.
