Thailand continues to be a promising place for hotels and Germany-based pentahotels is the latest company to enter the market. It will manage a new hotel for The Nest Property Co that will be located on Phloenchit and have 157 rooms. The new property is scheduled to be finished in 2020, according to a press release.
The pentahotel Bangkok Phloenchit will be built and designed to pentahotels’ unique, design-led and neighbourhood lifestyle standards. Among the company’s most notable innovations is its signature pentalounge, a reception area that combines function with entertainment allowing guests to relax and socialise around a stylish bar.
“The pentahotels brand concept offers an entirely new hotel experience to guests, which has seen tremendous success in Europe and Asia. In Bangkok, we have chosen the Lumpini location for its international business appeal and vibrant local and expatriate scenes, and we are confident that this new location will pave the way for our successful operations in Thailand,” says Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group, pentahotels’ parent company.
This is pentahotels’ 1st property in Southeast Asia and comes as the company looks to expand into the region. The company opened its 2nd hotel in Hong Kong earlier this year and continues to look for opportunities outside of its home market.

The Nest Property focuses mostly on upscale boutique condos in Bangkok and has developed high-end projects in the city’s CBD area. The company will now look to bring that philosophy to the hotel sector with the pentahotel Bangkok Phloenchit.
