Frasers Hospitality and Golden Land Property Development PLC announced an agreement that will see the hospitality leader operate Modena by Fraser Bangkok, which will be comprised of 239 serviced residences featuring studio and one-bedroom units, at FYI Center. The residences are targeted to launch in the middle of 2016.
The development will complete the multi-purpose FYI Center that is located at the Rama 4 – Rachada Intersection. The project will also have office building and other uses. Construction on the project began almost a year ago. Golden Land said the development is now 85 percent complete and are aiming for FYI Center to open to the public in mid-2016.
“Golden Land is highly confident in their decision to join hands with Frasers Hospitality, a well-established award-winning hospitality group with properties worldwide. Frasers Hospitality has a good understanding of the market, and especially so in South East Asia whereby they have a strong presence in key cities such as Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and China,” Thanapol Sirithanachai, the president of Golden Land Property Development PLC, said. “With the launch of Modena by Fraser as part of FYI Center development, we trust that it will further energize the Rama 4 area and turn it into the New Creative Business District in Bangkok.”
The goal is for Modena by Fraser to be ready to launch at the grand opening of the FYI Center. The accommodations will be fully furnished and offer amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, a spa and sauna and laundry facilities.
“Thailand is an ideal market for the introduction of our Modena by Fraser brand, which appeals to socially conscious Millennials who seek form and function,” Alan Tang, chief operating officer of Frasers Hospitality Group, stated. “Modena by Fraser has previously proven to be successful as an affordable, stylish and aspirational serviced residence offering in China and as we develop this brand further with an emphasis on eco-friendliness and sustainability, travellers to Bangkok will benefit from the rejuvenation of this brand, which advocates a green approach to modern serviced residence living.”
