Lenny Kravitz home in Miami Beach

A Miami Beach mansion formerly owned by rock music icon Lenny Kravitz has been put up for sale, the Wall Street Journal reported. For those people without the guitar skills or vocal abilities to start a band, the opportunity to live like a rock star can be yours for only USD25 million.

The Mediterranean-style house is located in a private, gated community and features a total of four bedrooms. The WSJ noted that the property measures nearly 11,270 sq. feet. Some of the facilities include a movie theater, a gym and an elevator. There is also a large guesthouse on-site.

Co-listing agent Jill Hertzberg of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate told the newspaper that the house is roughly 125 feet from the waters of Biscayne Bay and the estate is equipped with a boat dock along with a private beach that is situated near the house’s saltwater swimming pool.

The home, which is located on Miami’s exclusive Sunset Islands, was purchased by Kravitz in 2001 for USD8.95 million. Hertzberg stated that shortly after the property was built, the rocker decided to bring in some sand to create a beach in order to give the property a unique spin. Four years later he sold the property for USD14.5 million to Stephen Muss who is its current owner, according to the WSJ.

Muss is most well-known for redeveloping Miami’s Fontainebleau Hotel during the 1970s and is part of a New York City real estate dynasty. Hertzberg added that he too customized the house after buying it by increasing the size of the master suite. As for Kravitz, he continues house hopping in Miami. This is the second house he formerly owned that has been put up for sale. In 2015, he listed another South Florida property for a little under USD8 million that featured sexy mood lighting among other amenities.
