Sansiri Plc believes the Thai property market will perform well during November and December. The company is targeting THB13 billion in pre-sales and is set to launch 10 new projects before the end of 2017, reports local media.
“Sentiment is getting better after the prime minister was in the US and talked about a general election next year. Exports picked up and the tourism industry grew, helping boost sentiment for later this year,” says Sansiri Chief Operating Officer Uthai Uthaisangsuk to the Bangkok Post.
The upcoming projects will be worth THB20 billion combined and some of them will be marketed at a sales event to be held in late November. 5 of the new developments will be condos while the other 5 will be single-house projects. Oka Haus Sukhumvit 36, a 47-storey condo with nearly 1,200 units, will be one of the projects launched.
Sansiri has confirmed that it will also launch Kawa Haus this month. This project has a trio of 7-storey condo buildings and will contain a total of 546 units. This development is going to be located on Sukhumvit Soi 77.
The company will launch both developments at its Life Comes Home 2017 event at Siam Paragon. Sansiri will also have sales going on for 40 existing condo, single-house, and townhouse projects. The developer believes it can earn THB8 billion in pre-sales during this event which would go a long way to helping it meet its targets.
“We are very confident of having pre-sales of THB13 billion in the last 2 months as demand resumes. We can beat the target because we will launch 10 new projects in these final 2 months and hold an annual sales event,” says Uthai.
Despite not having any sales activities or project launches, the company earned pre-sales of THB1.7 billion in October. Sansiri has brought in THB27 billion in pre-sales so far this year and it hopes to pass the THB40 billion figure by the end of 2017.
