Thailand Property Awards Returns For 12th Edition

2 มี.ค. 2560

The 12th annual Thailand Property Awards were launched recently and this year’s event will once again honour the finest developers, properties and real estate personalities across the Kingdom. The awards are scheduled for September and will be held at the Plaza Athenee Bangkok.

Over 300 entries from developers are expected to come in this year. On-going projects located in Thailand’s leading markets of Bangkok and Phuket, as well as emerging destinations such as Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Samui, Phang Nga/Krabi and the Eastern Seaboard, will be honoured at the Thailand Property Awards.

“This is a great opportunity to share to the world what are being developed in those locations and to celebrate the key factors that drive the growth of the real estate industry in Thailand. “The Thailand Property Awards have showcased high quality developments and have well demonstrated an increased recognition and respect gained from the country’s real estate industry,” says Suphin Mechuchep, Managing Director of JLL Thailand and chairwoman of the independent judging panel.

The awards come at a time when there is increasing inbound interest from Chinese institutional investors. Even in light of the limited transactional opportunities available to foreign entities, real estate activity within various segments should soon pick up in Thailand.

Last year’s event was attended by nearly 600 VIPs and senior industry figures. MQDC Magnolia Quality Development Corporation was the biggest winner having been crowned the Best Developer (Thailand). In addition to this, the company collected a total of 8 awards.

Best Condo Development (Thailand) Best Housing Development (Thailand), and Best Commercial Development (Thailand) are among the awards to be competed for this year. There is also a special award handed out to Thailand’s Real Estate Personality of Year, which is named by the editors of Property Report. Dr Suriya Poolvoralaks, Managing Director of Major Development, won the award in 2016.

Developers, industry professionals and the general public can now submit nominations for over 30 categories. The nomination process will be open until 30 June 2017. Online submissions are accepted via AsiaPropertyAwards.com/nomination/thailand/
