[Special Advertising Feature] A splendid sanctuary in Thailand’s capital, designed to draw views and residents into a central green oasis, the beauty of The Nest Sukhumvit 71 by The Nest Property is in its simple notion of adding greenery to the core of the urban living experience.
Aimed at a new generation of homeowners, the condo development adds to The Nest portfolio; a high-profile name that has fast-become known in Bangkok as the residential brand where affordability meets class.
Wonderfully landscaped community spaces showcase fabulous facilities in a strategic yet convenient setting, securing a well-deserved win for Best Affordable Condo Landscape Architectural Design (Bangkok) at the 14th annual PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards in August 2019.
At the heart of the landscaping is phiil design studio, a name that is an acronym representing the principles guiding these Bangkok-based creatives: ‘philosophy’, ‘horizon’, ‘imagination’, ‘inspiration’, and ‘love. Other key collaborators are Greyspace Architects Studio and, in charge of interiors, Paradigm Shift Studio.
With 515 units housed in five towers, at an average size of close to 32 square metres each, the developers understand the concept of city dwellers’ expectations, particularly among the millennial market. Bijou abodes create affordability, with the outdoors epitomising a sense of style and relaxation surrounded by nature.
With around one rai of landscaping and facilities, the commitment to this concept inspiring the outdoor space impressed this year’s judges.
“The Nest Sukhumvit 71 by The Nest Property lives up to its name with a green central retreat for residents to ‘nest’ in a natural setting with lounge space, co-working area, pool, and fitness deck with forest scape, poolside hangout, and multi-level landscaping to add a spatial experience.”
With units designed to open up to this inner-court as much as possible, the idea that the landscaping defines The Nest Sukhumvit 71 is realised with a lobby area that embraces the natural elements seamlessly; open spaces and a beautiful willow tree set the tone on arrival. The indoor communal areas, from the fitness area to the library, look out to the garden setting, too.
Highlights outdoors include the wooden nest lounge and chillout rest swing, making the most of the condo landscape features that provide a palpable sense of interaction. Residents use these spaces rather than these outside areas becoming a passive backdrop. The starlight theatre is a stunning creation, with oversized cushions strewn across a lawn.
The crystal-clear swimming pool is enhanced with a waterside lounge and sky-view social area that connect indoors and out. Meanwhile, the waterfall is designed to provide an atmospheric soundscape and visual effect, while clever landscape design camouflages the parking area.
Plants are purposefully added for shade, to link the different levels of landscaping, and define the overall impression of bountiful semi-outdoor living as these communal spaces become a definitive extension of the indoors.
What is clear is that The Nest Property are masters of design when it comes to getting the balance just right when it comes to lifestyle luxury within a stylish, well-appointed, and affordable setting.
Less is more, and the landscaping direction at The Nest Sukhumvit 71 is a fine example of just how effective design can be when it is applied in a purposeful, clear, and uncomplicated way without the need to be over showy; less about aspiration and more about responding to what residents within this exciting and growing market really, really want.
