[Special Advertising Feature] Exclusive, modern luxury designed to exemplify the beauty of simplicity and pure design value; IDEN Sukhumvit 101 by IRIS Group is a stunning townhouse development situated in Thailand’s ever-expanding capital.
The development takes high-end residential possibilities further down Bangkok’s renowned Sukhumvit Road, yet still within reach of sky train stations and connections to international schools, as well as the direction of the Eastern Seaboard and beach getaways.
The talented developers who focus on both residential and commercial projects attracted a highly commended in the Best Luxury Housing Architectural Design (Bangkok) category at this year’s 14th annual PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards in August 2019.
Collaborators include the architectural skills of AplusCon Architects, with Idec Design bringing quality materials and superb finishes to the interiors, and In The Garden Design Studio (ITGO) adding well-positioned landscaping features.
Creating contemporary houses for a city living in a landscape of vertical living luxury is a testament to the ambition and vision of the project. The 42, double-unit three-storey homes, each with a mezzanine level, are cleverly designed to ensure privacy from immediate neighbours, while internally welcoming natural light, a feeling of spaciousness, and a sense of movement and ventilation.
With an average unit size of over 286 square metres, the architectural purpose behind each home is to create rooms with a simple form to reflect the lifestyles and needs of urbanites seeking a real home in the city. Maximising space in this way, the staircase, kitchen, and bathrooms are purposefully situated within each of the houses to ensure noise does not travel through, giving each townhouse a feeling of a detached property.
The main feature of each property is the six-metre-high ceiling in the living room, leading out to a terrace through full-length patio doors on the second floor, and adding another layer of privacy, and outdoors on the first floor. Floor-to-ceiling windows are added to each room to continue this feeling of flowing light and space.
The elegant functionality of the architecture resonated with this year’s judges, who appreciated the purist design ethos.
“IDEN Sukhumvit 101 by Iris Group is an exceptional example of how geometric lines and how restraint within architectural design can produce soft, inviting, and liveable homes for the modern age, where key features are the experience and possibility of living in a house in a busy part of the city.”
Aside from the private elevators adding a touch of class, the interiors also inspire a sense of elegance with marble patterns, glossy finishes, natural textures, and understated hues, with wood and stone finishes. The overall goal is for spaces to feel uncluttered, with hidden storage, fully fitted furniture in the rooms, and third-floor rooms with access to the outside.
The outdoors, composed of the garden, fountain, waterfall, and soft scaping, are intended to relax residents, with vertical spaces used wherever possible to expand the limited size of the grounds. In terms of facilities, IDEN Sukhumvit 101 boasts a clubhouse, an infinity-edged saltwater swimming pool, and a gym, while tech elements are integrated into the design and security features; homes for a sophisticated Bangkok that extends the narrative of luxury.
