[Special Advertising Feature] A real estate leader in Thailand and a master of extraordinary developments that embrace holistic innovations; Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC) is a tour de force, scooping a glittering array of awards for some of the best Bangkok condominium projects.
The development company is on an ambitious quest to discover quality living solutions that inspire residents while appreciating the intrinsic essence of the balance of nature.
The focus on creating a sense of wellbeing and crafting a lifestyle environment concept attracted four wins for grand residential condo Whizdom Asoke-Sukhumvit at this year’s 14th annual PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards in August 2019.
Awards were presented for Best Ultra Luxury Condo Development (Bangkok); Best Ultra Luxury Condo Architectural Design (Bangkok); Best Ultra Luxury Condo Interior Design (Bangkok); and Best Smart Home Development.
Collaborators on the project include established talent, I Will Design Studio looking after the architecture, DWP directing the interior design, and TROP overseeing the landscaping.
For this year’s judges, the development symbolises a splendid example of how architecture, interiors, and design concepts can combine to create an utterly unique modern-day residential oasis.
“Set in the heart of Thailand’s capital, Whizdom Asoke-Sukhumvit by Magnolia Quality Development Corporation stands tall, an urban mountain, with a cool, cavern-like interior, overlooking 48-rai of greenery and lake at Benjakitti Park; natural materials, curving lines, and organic-feeling interiors that are tangibly soothing creating a welcome retreat from the urbanized locale.”
With 553 units of one and two-bedroom apartments, including five penthouses and an additional six retail outlets, the architecture allows almost every unit to look out across the lake and forested area.
Meanwhile, a private garden on the 32nd floor and rooftop pool garden on the 35th-floor link green spaces and views, with a tree planted on a small island to reflect in the waters; wonderfully relaxing social havens to escape during the day or night time.
Even the co-working space and conference room on the 11th and 12th floor follow a gentle curve that echoes the overall design and feel of the condo and the rarity of the green setting. Technology enhances the residential experience too, with a Home Intelligent System that ensures a healthier indoor climate with better air quality and peace of mind, as well as security sensors, face-scanning technology, and even robotics.
Meanwhile, over-50s condo, The Aspen Tree at The Forestias won an award in the Best Senior Living Architectural Design category. The Beaumont Partnership focuses on architectural design, with Studio 54 involved in the interiors, along with DWP who manage the development’s Health and Brain Center. The landscaping is being worked on by the magical green fingers of PLandscape.
Located in Bangna, on the outskirts of the city, the contemporary-classic styled condo is home to 59 percent green spaces and a design philosophy that encourages activities and interaction. The project includes aging-in-place, with 250 Active Living Condominium units and 40 low-rise Sky Villa units, an average unit size of 140 square metres. Universal design, a homely feeling, a sense of community, and green spaces focused on wellness, activities, and spiritual fulfillment are all part of the ethos behind the design.
A unique feature is a clinic focused on geriatric care, with around-the-clock doctor and emergency transportation available, including a helipad.
