Mahanakhon 2016

As Pace Development continues to put the finishing touches on its MahaNakhon project, which is going to officially open on 29th August, plans are already underway to ensure the project is a success beyond the selling of residential units. Bangkok’s soon to be largest tower will feature a hotel, a rooftop bar, an observation deck, the CUBE shopping complex and a media wall as it attempts to become a must visit destination in the city for tourists and locals alike.

Pace noted that it believes the MahaNakhon observation deck will become an attractive tourism landmark similar to the observation decks in other leading cities around the globle. The company hopes its tower will have similar success to Taipei 101 in Taiwan as a mixed-use development that appeals to tourists as well as those who use the facility on a daily basis.

The observation deck will have the capability to handle as many as six million tourists each year with revenue being earned through ticket sales and souvenirs. Pace is also hoping to earn additional revenue from the hotel and restaurants at MahaNakhon once everything is up and running.

In the meantime, the developer is still closing sales and completing transfers for The Ritz-Carlton Residences at MahaNakhon. PACE reported that THB937 million worth of transfers took place in the second quarter of this year and the company hopes to increase ownership transfers during the second half. With a little less than 30 percent of units remaining at the luxury residence, the company is ramping up efforts to sell the remaining stock.

“Currently, sales of The Ritz-Carlton Residences at MahaNakhon has exceeded 70 percent” Sorapoj Techakraisri, chief executive officer at Pace, said in a press release. “We have planned several marketing initiatives to boost sales including a roadshow in Hong Kong as well as new show suites in the tower. The upcoming ‘MahaNakhon Bangkok Rising: The Night of Lights’ event will also help increase awareness of MahaNakhon globally.”

Pace will mark the completion of MahaNakhon on 29th August with a special event. Mahanakhon: Bangkok Rising, The Night Of Lights will feature a massive lightshow as well as a concert with performances by local and international artists.
