A raft of new features and attractions was announced by Show DC as the massive retail complex nears its opening which is expected to happen in November. A new retail concept and restaurants branded by Korean celebrities are among a few of the highlights visitors can expect to find.
Show DC, which will host the largest K-District outside of Korea when it opens, will have more than 400 stores with 93 percent of all space available now reserved. However, it is more than just shopping that will draw people to the complex and developers believe its “Shop & Enjoy” concept will offer visitors something unique.
“Show DC introduced to Thailand’s retail industry the novel ‘Shop & Enjoy’ concept. You will not find such a unique mix anywhere else,” Chayadit Hutanuwatra, chairman of Show DC Corp, explained in a press release. “We put together the ultimate Asian entertainment experience featuring an eclectic flavor of Korean entertainment at ‘K-District by The Mall Of Korea @Show DC where trendy products and services from Korea will be available.”
In addition to this, Thai designers will be able to show off their goods at the project’s recently announced Thai Thai Market. “Our plan is also to stimulate the economy and promote Thai products by putting together best-in-class Thai products at the Thai Thai Market. This market will consist of 150 shops, that should be attractive to Thais and foreign visitors,” Chayadit stated.
Authenticity will play a big role in drawing people to the project and developers have pulled out all the stops to ensure those at Show DC get a realistic Korean experience without need to fly all the way to Seoul.
“Korean celebrities have also chosen to open their first shops here to serve their loyal Thai fans.” Chayadit said. “Among the celebrity shops and restaurant featured are PSY Noodle House by Psy Gangnam Style, After The Rain restaurant, by the legendary singer Rain; and BTS’ BRICK CAFE, a popular boy band BTS or Bangtan Boys.”
