The 2nd annual Cambodia Property Awards took place with the country’s top real estate developers competing for the prestigious gongs. Borey Peng Huoth Group was the night’s star taking home Best Developer (Cambodia), the most important award handed out.
“Borey Peng Huoth Group is a company that has redefined Cambodia’s residential landscape. From careful site selection to sustainable building initiatives, Borey Peng Huoth is an innovative, strategic, progressive, and creative developer. With acclaimed housing projects like Grand Star Platinum, the company has elevated the local property sector by implementing best practices in international markets with local sensibilities,” says the independent panel of judges.
For Borey Peng Huoth Group, the honours keep rolling in. The developer is best known for its Grand Star Platinum residential project and took home two additional gongs, Best Housing Development (Phnom Penh) and Best Landscape Architectural Design, at The Cambodia Property Awards.
Phnom Penh City Center, a 5-time nominee, was another big winner at the ceremony. It collected an award for each of its nominated projects: The EDGE, a Khmer-inspired retail development; Residence90, a high-end residential development; and The Vanguard, the corporate headquarters of its parent company. All 3 projects are expected to completed this year and are located within the integrated Phnom Penh City Center development.
Over 30 projects in Cambodia located across Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville were up for honours at this year’s competition. There were a total of 17 awards handed out much to the delight of the 300 guests in attendance. One of the most notable awards was the Special Recognition in Green Development, which went to MTP Invest, developer of Siem Reap-based residential project Phum Barang.
“Taking advantage of Siem Reap’s sub-tropical climate, Phum Barang boasts of comfortable living amenities and a natural ventilation system that can withstand strong winds, bright sunlight and the monsoon season,” says chairman of the judging panel Sorn Seap, founder and director of Key Real Estate Co Ltd.
