The popularity of property in Thailand rose in June, with the country placed fifth in popularity by one of the U.K.’s leading overseas property websites.
In the monthly Top of the Props report compiled by TheMoveChannel.com, the kingdom was revealed as the fifth most searched overseas property destination, being responsible for 2.63 percent of all enquiries.
In April the country was ranked third – its highest position ever – with 6.78 percent of all enquiries on the portal. Its position dropped to 12th during May but rose again last month.
Spain, with its combination of lowering prices, attractive mortgage rates and residency schemes, regained top spot in the survey from the U.S., which had occupied the number one position for the previous eight months. Spanish property enquiries were responsible for almost one in three of all searches on the website.
