Massive upturn in new launches

Thailand top developers have revealed plans to launch a massive 121 residential projects in the last three months of the year, highlighting the dramatic upswing in demand for new property in the kingdom.

A survey conducted by Asia Plus Securities and The Nation focusing on 15 of the top Stock Exchange of Thailand-listed developers revealed the staggering number of planned new launches within the next three months, which will be a mix of landed, detached homes and condominiums.

Pruksa leads the way, according to the survey, with 30 planned launches – six of which will be condominiums. Sansiri is slated to have 13 new project launches, according to the survey, while the combined total of the 121 new launches is expected to reach more than THB150 billion.

Domestic demand had skyrocketed in the last two months, resulting on one condo consisting of 288 units selling out within the space of several hours during late September. Units there were priced from THB5 million upwards.
