Ticon factory suvarnabhumi phase one

Factory and warehouse rental services provider Ticon Industrial Connection has joined forces with Japan’s Yokohama Industrial Development Agency to construct small-sized factories for rental to Japanese operators.

The company’s Chairman, Viraphan Phunket, said the facilities will be constructed on a 107-rai plot of land at Asia Industrial Estate in Suvarnnabhumi under the name ‘Yokohama Factory Zone’.

The new zone would focus on manufacturers of auto and electronics parts and plastic products.

The whole project covers an area of 67,400 sqm using an investment of THB300 million. About 60 percent of the area is for fully furbished factories, which have already attracted investment from five Japanese companies in the first phase.

Two other companies have also booked space in this phase, while another 10 factories will be built in the second phase during the third quarter of this year.

The development of the whole zone is expected to be completed next year.
