Wyndham revealed that it will open its second resort in Thailand during November. The Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay will be located near Patong Beach and is part of the company’s Club Wyndham Asia, a part of the Wyndham Vacation Ownership business.

The resort will boast 214 guestrooms with sea views and 152 pool villas, more than any other resort in the area. There will also be a range of facilities on hand for travelers to use during their stay.

Both of Wyndham’s Thailand-based resorts are located in Phuket. The Wyndham Sea Pearl Resort Phuket, situated in Patong, welcomed guests for the first time in June of last year. Tourism and Sports Minister Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Information and Communication Technology Minister Pornchai Rujiprapa and Finance Minister Sommai Phasee were on hand at the resort’s grand opening.

“Wyndham Grand hotels are located in some of the world’s most sought after destinations, including Shanghai, Istanbul, Chicago and now Phuket,” Barry Robinson, president and managing director of Wyndham Hotel Group South East Asia and Pacific Rim, stated in a press release. “The brand’s premium offerings and distinctive experiences create a perfect platform to deliver our unique mixed-use model to travelers looking for an approachable take on luxurious travel in Thailand.”

Wyndham signed a management agreement with Parisorn Company who will manage and operate the property. An official signing ceremony was held late last month to finalize the agreement.

“It is an honor to be working with Wyndham, their expertise in the area of both hotel management and vacation ownership gives them a unique edge which is well positioned with our long-term strategy for the hotel,” Prasit Chinprasert, co-owner of Parisorn, said in the press release. “We are confident that under their management, Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay will be a leading resort for holiday-makers and business travellers in the country.”
