Dusit International, the international arm of the Thai hospitality company, announced its intention to continue expansion plans in the the Philippines. The company completed a refurbishment of its flagship Dusit Thani Manila and also recently released plans for a second project in the country.
In addition to this, Dusit International revealed in a press release that it will bring its dusitD2 Residence to the island of Cebu after reaching an agreement with Grand Land, Inc. The project is expected to be completed in 2019.
The company also noted that the dusitD2 Residence Cebu City will be situated within Grand Land’s multi-tower condominium development, Grand Residences Cebu. The project will be located near Cebu’s business district and will also be close to IT Park, and the Cebu Golf and Country Club.
A separate entrance and lobby will lead guests to the 160 serviced residences of the hotel. A number of facilities are planned for the project including an all-day dining restaurant, gym and pool. Meeting rooms will also be available at the property.
“We are very pleased to collaborate on our second project with Grand Land Inc., bringing a dusitD2 to Cebu,” Rustom Vickers, vice president of development, Dusit International said in the press release. “We believe this vibrant brand is well suited to the exciting growth of the area and that Dusit’s signature gracious hospitality will enliven the experience of both guests and residents of the dusitD2 Residence Cebu City.”
