True Arena Hua Hin

Proud Real Estate announced it will continue to expand the number of hotel and leisure developments it operates in Hua Hin during the next five years. This news comes hot off the heels of Proud’s latest project, True Arena Hua Hin, opening last weekend.

The company will build two leisure attractions as part of its vision to become the country’s largest leisure developer in terms of revenue, visitor numbers and projects, executive director Proudputh Liptapanlop explained to media. The developer is also looking to extend its business model in Hua Hin, which comprises of hotels, theme parks and condominiums, to other tourist destinations in Thailand including Phuket.

Proud has already started building the Holiday Inn Hua Hin near its Vana Nava water park and the hotel is scheduled to open in 2017. The developer is also planning to build a new condo in the same area too. The company’s interest in Hua Hin began six years ago when it completed its first hotel. Vana Nava was the developer’s first theme park which opened 2014 and True Arena Hua Hin is the latest project to be completed. The arena is equipped with a 5,088 seat tennis stadium, two football pitches and a multi-sports gymnasium for activities including basketball, badminton, futsal and fitness.

“We aim for True Arena Hua Hin to become the best multi-sports complex in Asean. More importantly, it is our hope to inspire and provide an opportunity for tennis enthusiasts to become professionals by providing them with the best training facilities and a chance to participate in world-class events,” Proudputh proclaimed.

Even as the economy in Thailand struggles, Proud will continue its investment in Hua Hin. The newest wing of its InterContinental hotel will officially open its doors to guests in October.

Hua Hin is Thailand’s eighth most popular tourist destination with 4.42 million visitors spending time in the area in 2015.
