MQDC Offers Complete Digital Experience To Attract Younger Buyers

7 Apr 2017

Generation Y is known for being tech savvy and wanting places that blend work and play. In order to fulfil these needs, Magnolia Quality Development Corp (MQDC) revealed its latest concept at Whizdom 101; a lifestyle complex with a complete digital experience, reports local media.

The mixed-use development will have a range of shops and facilities equipped with high-tech features in an environment that embraces nature. The goal is to meet the needs of people looking for a place that has socialising and well-being opportunities. This is Thailand’s first such digital lifestyle complex, claims the developer.

“It is MQDC’s responsibility, as a property developer that truly understands consumers’ needs, to respond to this generation’s unique lifestyle by improving its business plan and portfolio. That is why we have recently focused more on developing mixed-use properties in which residential, office and retail spaces are located within the same area, like a one-stop service for everyday lives,” says Visit Malaisirirat, Chief Executive at MQDC.

MQDC has invested over THB 30 billion in W hizdom 101 as it looks to build the country’s most comprehensive and innovative lifestyle complex. Once completed, the development is expected to bring in 40,000 visitors per day and generate THB 1 billion in revenue after its 1st year of operations. The project is located on Sukhumvit 101, an up and coming area in Bangkok.

“Additionally, the area around Sukhumvit 101 has an impressive growth. It is surrounded by a large number of residences, international schools and office buildings and there are more than 1.3 million people living within a 10-kilometre radius,” says Visit to The Nation.

The design of Whizdom 101 aims to make it more than just a community mall. With space for dining with families, shopping with friends, exercising, watching a performance, relaxing and socialising, the developer hopes to create a lifestyle destination that appeals to Generation Y.

“Modern urbanites are busy and time-poor. Our everyday life is usually split between home, offices and huge air-conditioned department stores. We often forget the other aspects of life that are equally important,” says Suttha Ruengchaipaiboon, Executive Vice President of MQDC.
